Initial visit
The initial visit at Gronda’s Dental Clinic is a fundamental first step in the therapeutic process.
In our initial consultation we familiarize ourselves with each patient and their health history, lifestyle, and oral health situation. Following the patient interview a clinical oral exam is performed and, in more complex cases this visit may involve more than one specialist.
Our initial visit usually lasts 30 to 60 minutes depending on the complexity of the situation. During this initial visit radiographic examinations may be recommended in order to further evaluate clinical findings and to formulate an appropriate diagnosis and treatment plan.
We develop and propose a specific treatment plan and timeline taking into account our patient’s specific needs, so optimizing therapy.
We strongly believe in the individuality of every patient and our attention is focused on creating a treatment plan that is right for you.
Clinical Principles
Hygiene and Prevention
Prevention is the main goal of every dental treatment in our practice. A healthy mouth is a joint effort. In our philosophy it is fundamental:
- To explain personalized methods to maintain good oral hygiene at home every day
- To organize periodic professional dental hygiene sessions in our clinic, to remove plaque and tartar accumulation
- To prevent every problem/disease in the mouth
- To intercept (early diagnosis) any problem/disease in the mouth in order to avoid consequences or worsening
For these reasons, for the extraordinary preventive value it has, the professional hygiene session in our office is a clinical procedure in which we place the utmost attention, it is ALWAYS preceded by a specialist examination of the entire mouth and is ALWAYS characterized by a sequence of operational phases:
- Rinse the entire mouth with an antiseptic product
- Periodontal diagnostic surveys
- Application of bacterial plaque revealing substance
- Personalised instructions and advice on home bacterial plaque removal
- Removal of bacterial biofilm (plaque) with professional methods
- Removal of tartar and any stains
- Final quality control
Control of discomfort/pain
- We pay high attention to complete discomfort control before, during and after every clinical session
- In cases of odontophobia (fear of dentist) or of long surgical operations we are privileged in having a highly qualified anesthetist who can guarantee a safe and easily controllable sedation for the duration of the operation

Children (pedodontics)
Our clinic is specialized in the comprehensive treatment of child oral problems (i.e. sealers for caries prevention, orthodontics and all specific treatments for the early onset of caries)
Aesthetics
Mouth aesthetics includes working on dental HARMONY, position, dental color and dental shape. Cross-discipline teamwork results in excellent aesthetic outcomes. Furthermore, we treat “perioral” wrinkles (wrinkles around the mouth) as well as balance lip shape, position and size.
Periodontology
